Q: Where were you born and where are you based?
A: Los Angeles born and raised.
Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: My favorite childhood memory is going to the hospital with my older brother, Mason, to pick up our baby sister, Sammy, right after she was born.
Q: Where is the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?
A: I’ve been blessed to see so many beautiful places but one of my all-time favorites is mount Yamadera in Japan.
Q: What is one of the happiest moments in your life?
A: When my family and I went down to Baja and surfed Scorpion Bay, probably one of the best trips of my life.
Q: What is the best compliment you’ve ever received?
A: You have an old soul.
Q: What was the last TV show you binge-watched?
A: Currently bingeing Dopesick.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given?
A: “The world will ask you who you are, and if you don’t know, the world will tell you” – Carl Jung.
Q: Would you say you’re more of an extrovert or introvert?
A: Introvert.
Q: What is one fact that nobody knows about you?
A: I started modeling after I was scouted at a Chipotle.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: My favorite way to spend my free time is surfing.
Q: What cause or charity do you identify with?
A: St. Jude’s children hospital.
Q: What is one message you would give to people who have lost their way?
A: You live and you learn, don’t get discouraged, keep going.
Q: What is your secret talent?
A: Cheffing it up on my grill or smoker.
Q: Which accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: Having a successful career as a model.
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: My dogs, my family, and sushi.
Q: What would you like the world to remember about you?
A: I would want to be remembered for having a good energy about me and making everyone feel accepted.
Q: How did you break into the entertainment business?
A: I was scouted by my manager Jim Jordan and shortly after that he got me a job with Hollister.
Q: Who and what inspired you to become an actor?
A: I always wanted to act, even as a little kid. I just always had a passion for movies and storytelling. The biggest influence I had for acting has probably been Tom Hardy and Sean Penn.
Q: What advice do you have for kids who want to be actors?
A: Study what you’re passionate about. Read, create, write all about it, and don’t ever get discouraged when something doesn’t happen the way you want it to.
Q: What is next for Matthew Pollock?
A: Next chapter for me is just progressing my acting career and filming more projects this year!!
